As soon as your skin is exposed to burn causing agents like steam, hot liquids/surfaces etc., apply Burnshield Oil on that area immediately; Cover it with common salt lavishly and add oil again so that the salt is wet with oil. Apply oil again and again and wait for some more time even after the pain vanishes.
The oil and salt will work together to alleviate the pain and to eliminate blister formation, there by bringing your skin back to its normal condition. Don’t wet with water for at least half an hour to ensure better protection against burns. (This is contrary to the known first aids of burn treatment. In this case the common salt will give the coolness to the burnt area)
What if the burn has already happened?
Even a few second’s delay in application of BurnShield Oil can cause damage to the skin. So in case there is a delay in applying oil and if burn has already happened and you couldn’t apply Burnshield Oil on time what should you do? Get a bottle of Burnshield Oil at the earliest and start applying it on the burnt skin twice daily till the skin regains normalcy. Take care not to wet with water till skin is fully normal. In most cases of first and second degree burns your skin will regain its texture and composition fully.

This is a real life situation wherein I used Florels Burnshield Oil for complete protection from Burns
I happened to touch a hot vessel with my forefinger. The skin is reddened and blisters are about to be formed.
The pain was subsiding easily and I reapplied oil for faster relief.
Applied Florels Burnshield Oil immediately, without showing under flowing water

1. How does a burn happen?
When skin comes in contact with higher temperature (higher than 40°C by way of Fire, heat, radiations, electricity etc), its plasma membrane integrity is lost. When temperature is higher than 60°C, this process speeds up and happens in an instant. In other words higher temperature and prolonged contact cause a more deep burn.
2. What are First and Second degree Burns?
First Degree or Superficial Burns causes damage to the first layer of skin (epidermis). It is pink, red, dry and painful. A second degree burn affects a deeper layer of the skin. It can damage the epidermis and cause some damage to the second layer of skin (dermis). Blisters can form which may break or be intact. Skin under the blisters is wet, weepy, pink and painful. This type of burn may occur from a scald, hot liquid or when skin comes in contact with a hot surface.
3. How does Florels Burnshield Oil work?
Florels Burnshield Oil is excellent in giving you protection from burns. It reverses the effect of burns by regaining plasma membrane integrity of the skin that is lost when the skin is exposed to burn causing agents like steam, hot liquids/surfaces. It has to be applied immediately as even a second’s delay can cause severe pain and damage to the skin making it difficult to regain the texture back. Apply along with common salt and add oil again and again if needed. Even after the pain disappears you should keep the oil for some more time as the burns can still cause trouble deep under the skin.
As burns from hot vessels are more painful and severe, absolutely no time should be wasted in application and oil and salt are to be applied repeatedly so that no marks are left there.
If you are applying it after a while, say after burn has set in, then don’t apply salt as osmosis will have an adverse effect. Apply only oil twice daily on the affected area, preferably using a feather.

It depends on the intensity of the burn and the time lapse in applying Florels Burnshield Oil.
If it is not boiling water then you need to apply Burnshield Oil and common salt immediately and you will get relief within a few minutes.
If boiling water falls on your skin then it will take nearly 2.5 hours and several application of Burnshield Oil and salt for relief from pain. (about 5% of the pain will disapppear only after a day). The pain will fluctuate through out this time and there will be times when it remains at top level and you need to apply oil and salt again and again at those times.
After a couple of days the skin will blacken so that the dead cells are replaced. During that time apply only Burnshield Oil.
5. What if you delay in applying Florels Burnshield Oil and salt? Case Study
This patient had his face and hand exposed to flames. He could start application of Florels Burnshield Oil and Salt only after about 10 minutes.
The first 2 pictures show his face and hand covered with Florels Burnshield Oil and Salt. His hand recovered fully after about 2.5 hours but skin darkened the next day. The dead skin peeled off and it recovered fully within a week. Had he applied Florels Burnshield Oil and salt immediately then the damage could have been minimised further.
6. How effective is Florels Burnshield Oil and salt in controlling pain and blisters if applied on time? Case Study
I poured boiling water on my hand and applied Florels Burnshield Oil and salt immediately. I had to apply Burnshield Oil and salt 6-7 times and wait for about two and a half hours for 95% relief from pain.
The pain kept fluctuating within that time, going up and down and whenever the pain went up I reapplied Burnshield Oil and salt.
There was no blister formation and after two days the skin blackened slightly and on continued application of oil (no salt) the skin regained its texture in a couple of days.

7. What if I don’t use salt along with Burnshield Oil?
Common salt removes the water content from the wound area by osmosis thereby helps controlling blister formation and it also helps in pain management. In case of minor burns you can apply Florels Burnshield Oil alone but how will you know if a burn is minor or not. What you might consider as a minor burn can cause blisters after a while. Hence it is safe to use Florels Burnshield Oil along with salt.
8. What if I wet the burnt surface with water?
Keeping away from water is very important in controlling pain and blister formation. When you wet the skin with water even after the disappearance of pain, it reappears; consequently it will take you more time to control pain. So, no water for at least half an hour after the pain disappears.
9. Should I break blisters (if I use Burnshield Oil after formation of blisters)?
No. Firstly, Burn blisters are your body’s response to insulate the inner layers of your skin from heat and blisters increase capillary permeability for edema formation between the epidermis and the dermis. Secondly, various growth factors are present in blisters and it also facilitates fibroblast growth, hence it has a stimulatory effect on wound healing. Thirdly, a loss of the burn blister fluid decreases the circulation in the wound area. So, it’s important to let the blisters remain as long as it can.
10. Can I use Florels Burnshield Oil in case of higher degree burns?
Yes, you can, but under the strict supervision of a doctor. Firstly, apply the oil twice daily with a sterile object and Secondly, make 100% sure that the surface doesn’t come in contact with water till it heals completely
11. Case Studies of treating 3rd degree Burns with Florels Burnshield Oil
